Brother Abbott

This is my brother. He has great style. A combination of vintage denim head, english classicist and nautical farmer.

Counter Cafe

After an hour trudging though Hackney Wick in East London to find a mysterious cafe, claimed by my brother to serve the best breakfast in London ( Counter Cafe ),  I stumble upon this dude. I loved his use of color and the combination of the red, purple and blue.

Supercell

Kevin Erskine's armageddon skies in surreal colors dwarf the viewer. Catastrophic, belittling yet beguiling.

Les Carnets De La Mer

This is a book by Farid Abdelouahab that I picked up a while ago whilst living in Belgium. Translated this means " Books of the Sea ". This book contains many sketch books, post cards and memoirs of  fisherman from the likes of Victor Hugo and Bernard Moitessier. The colors and illustrations are really rich and the styles vary enormously, from really loose styles to tight botanical type sketches. 

Todd Hido

Discovered the photographer Todd Hido recently. The moods are amazing, the watery windscreens a great filter. Reminds me of a photographic Turner.

Yellow

I saw this guy today just around the corner from my office enjoying a cigarette break. Very softly spoken and very happy for me to take a photograph of him. We have a little taste of summer happening at the moment in NYC so I was particularly taken with his play on yellow. From the hair to the tee to the stitching on his Doc Marten boots.
